Bespoke Orders and Service Terms

Our bespoke service begins with an initial consultation to understand your vision, requirements, and measurements. Following this, a design brief and initial quote will be provided. Upon your approval and the payment of a 50% non-refundable deposit, we commence fabric sourcing and pattern cutting.

Payment Terms & Scheduling

The remaining 50% of the payment is due upon final fitting and before the garment is released. For larger projects or ongoing consultancy, a phased payment schedule will be clearly outlined in your service agreement. All payments are to be made within 7 days of invoice receipt unless otherwise agreed.

Fitting Requirements & Client Cooperation

A minimum of two to three fittings are typically required for bespoke garments. It is the client's responsibility to attend these fittings promptly and provide honest feedback. Delays in attending fittings may extend the completion timeline. Significant changes requested after a certain stage may incur additional costs.

Quality Standards & Satisfaction Guarantees

Loom & Leaf Bespoke is committed to the highest standards of craftsmanship. We guarantee the quality of our materials and workmanship. Should any issues arise due to our craftsmanship within 30 days of garment collection, we will rectify them at no additional cost. This guarantee does not cover wear and tear or damage caused by improper care.

Cancellation and Refund Policies

Understanding that circumstances can change, we strive for fairness in our cancellation and refund policies across all our services.

Bespoke Orders & Custom Creations

  • Deposit: The initial 50% deposit for bespoke orders is non-refundable once materials have been ordered or work has commenced (typically within 48 hours of deposit payment). This covers initial design, pattern cutting, and fabric procurement which are unique to your commission.
  • Mid-Production Cancellation: If a bespoke order is cancelled after production has begun beyond the initial deposit stage, a refund for payments made beyond the deposit will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, considering the amount of work completed and materials used.
  • Final Product: No refunds or exchanges are permitted on completed bespoke garments or custom creations once they have been collected and accepted by the client, except in cases where a manufacturing defect is identified and reported within 7 days of collection.

Consultancy Services & Workshops

  • Cancellation: For fashion consultancy appointments or workshops, a full refund is available if cancelled with more than 48 hours' notice. Cancellations made within 48 hours but more than 24 hours will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows are non-refundable.

Force Majeure

In the event of extraordinary circumstances beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural disaster, pandemic, supplier failure), Loom & Leaf Bespoke will communicate transparently and work with clients to find fair and equitable solutions, which may include extended timelines or credit for future services rather than direct refunds.

Intellectual Property and Liability

This section clarifies the ownership of creative works and the limits of liability concerning our services.

Intellectual Property Rights

All designs, patterns, creative concepts, photographs, and content created by Loom & Leaf Bespoke, whether for custom commissions or our collections, remain the intellectual property of Loom & Leaf Bespoke. While the client owns the physical garment once purchased, the design itself (the pattern, specific style elements, etc.) is retained by Loom & Leaf Bespoke.

If a client provides a specific design or concept for a custom piece, Loom & Leaf Bespoke will ensure it has the right to use and replicate that design solely for the purpose of fulfilling the client's order. The client warrants that any material they provide does not infringe on third-party intellectual property rights.

Limitation of Liability

Loom & Leaf Bespoke endeavors to provide its services with reasonable care and skill. Our liability for any loss or damage arising from our services, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, shall be limited to the total amount paid by the client for the specific service in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss or damage, including but not limited to loss of profit, business interruption, or loss of reputation.

We hold appropriate public liability insurance. However, clients are responsible for ensuring the safe storage and maintenance of their garments. We are not responsible for damage caused by improper dry cleaning, washing, or wear and tear beyond our control.

Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

In the event of a dispute, we encourage direct communication to seek an amicable resolution. If a resolution cannot be reached, both parties agree to engage in mediation before pursuing further legal action. These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes relating to these terms and conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
